Penny Auctions are fun but the user has to remember they’re for entertainment, you’re not guaranteed to win.  There are many different penny auction sites popping up all over, but the best ones are those reviewed by the penny auction users themselves.  We searched forums, users, reviews to find the favorite and best winning penny auction sites in the minds of the users. Wine Auctions

I never knew there were wine auctions and now that I know I love it.   There are different types of wine auctions and different ways they work.   Most of them sell fine wine but there are some that sell regular affordable wine also.

Wine Industry Organizations.

The first type of auctions are the ones that are put on by the winery organizations,   these are usually created to help with promotion, charity or just to see the interest in different wineries.  The wine sold here is usually really nice wines that are rare and presented by the wineries.   These sometimes targeted to re-sellers and sold by the barrel or in bulk.

Auctioneers

These are the ones I like and have used.  There are also different types and sub-categories in these. Some of the prices can go from $5 to 15 thousand and up.   There are live auctions, auctions online and even some auction websites that let you sell your own.

Morrell Wine Auction

One live auction website that is pretty popular is Morrell Wine Auction and they have different dates that you can bid live.  Here is how some of it works.

You can place an absentee bid up to 24 hours ahead of the auction.   You have choices of different lots and it’s usually higher end nice wine, you can also search for specific wines you want to bid on.

Bidders can bid live and see what others have bid on the same item.  Morrell wine auctions are only on specific days and times but if you’re into nice wines, have a look.

Zachys Wine Auction

Zachys wine auction is another popular one but is a live auction and more for consignors and re-sellers.  It’s usually held in New York and sells in bulk.

Affordable Wine Auctions

There are a couple of affordable online wine auction sites.  These are nice and some of the ones I did and enjoyed.

WineBid.com

This website is nice because you can get all different types and price ranges of wines.  You just go on search for the type of wine you like and put a bid on what you like.   Depending on the price of the wine it will go up in increments related to the price.  The lower-end wines go up in $5 increments and the higher-end wines go up to $20 increments.  You can also sell wine but you need to have a minimum of $2500 worth of wine I believe.

WineCommune.com

This one is similar to the above site, you can bid on wines that are all different prices.   They have affordable wine and expensive wine.  They also have a buy now button similar to ebay where you can buy a wine immediately.

So if you’re into wine, have a look at some of those wine auction sites and you will find some good buys.
